Areas we cover
As a Camberley estate agent, Wellingtons works with lots of homeowners in GU15 and GU16 to sell their homes – and this is where you’ll find us most. But we also have great knowledge and experience of selling in other surrounding areas too – both in Surrey Heath and nearby Berkshire and Hampshire. Read on to learn more about the areas we cover.
Camberley
As the main urban hub in Surrey Heath, Camberley features a busy town centre with many restaurants, pubs, a cinema, theatre and shopping mall. A short walk from town, you’ll also find the very well-equipped Places Leisure Camberley.
Local residential areas feature a diverse array of property styles from contemporary newer-builds to characterful Georgian and Victorian period homes. The different areas can be broken down as follows:
St Michaels & St Pauls – These two residential wards are located within easy reach of Camberley town centre and feature some of Camberley’s prime roads boasting many beautiful large, detached houses.
Parkside – Often paired with Heatherside in ward maps, this is a quiet residential area running adjacent to the Portsmouth Road.
Watchetts – One of Camberley’s largest residential wards is also situated near to the town centre and stretches across to the busy Frimley Road.
Old Dean – A post-WWII suburb of Camberley, this estate features mostly mid-century semi-detached and terraced houses and is named after the Old Dean Common. It is also home to the secondary school Collingwood College.
Heatherside is a large residential estate with most of its homes constructed in the late 1960s and early 70s. It is popular with families and features extensive playing fields and a small shopping precinct.
Frimley, Frimley Green & Deepcut
Frimley is a (mostly) built up residential area beside Camberley. Its high street is located a short distance from junction 4 of the M3 motorway and Frimley Park Hospital. Also nearby are popular schools such as Ravenscote Junior School and Tomlinscote (secondary) School.
Frimley Green is a village with scenic lakes, green spaces, and recreational amenities such as the local favourite Frimley Lodge Park and Basingstoke Canal.
Deepcut is a semi-rural village known surrounded by large expanses of MOD land and woodland, giving it a peaceful, green backdrop. Housing is a mix of traditional family homes and newer estates – with the notable ongoing construction of 1,200 new homes and local amenities as part of the Mindenhurst development.
Bagshot, Lightwater, Windlesham & Chobham
Bagshot is a small village with lots of attractive Victorian properties as well as several newer build developments. In the centre, you’ll find several good pubs, restaurants and independent shops and, a short walk away, the outstanding-rated Connaught Junior School. The area has great road transport links with easy access to junction 3 of the M3 motorway, A322 and M25.
Lightwater is a large village with many of its residential properties built post WWII. Situated across the other side of the M3 from Bagshot – and linked by a new footbridge – it benefits from the same easy road transport links. The area is known for its beautiful Country Park, offering walking trails and abundant wildlife. On the same site, you’ll also find Lightwater Leisure Centre, while there are also reputable infant and junior schools nearby.
The village of Windlesham forms part of the same civil parish that also encompasses nearby Bagshot and Lightwater within its boundaries. Popular with families, it too benefits from the same transport links, featuring plenty of Victorian family homes and a number of tree-lined roads and with stunning individual properties.
Chobham is a charming village with bags of countryside character – despite being situated just minutes from the M3 motorway. It offers a mix of period cottages, stylish family homes, and rural properties. The village centre has independent shops, cosy pubs, and local amenities, while the surrounding commons and countryside provide plenty of green space.
Ascot, Sunninghill & Sunningdale
Best known for its world-famous racecourse, Ascot offers a mix of elegant detached homes – including lots of newer builds, and modern apartments. Beyond racing, the area boasts a smart high street, luxury hotels, excellent golf clubs, and benefits from being next to Windsor Great Park. With fast rail links to London and Heathrow close by, it’s a highly sought-after, prestigious location.
A short distance from Ascot, you’ll find the small and pretty village of Sunninghill. The high street runs through its heart, off which you’ll find attractive residential roads with mostly period cottages.
Sunningdale is a leafy, affluent area, which is bisected by the A30 and close by to Virginia Water and Windsor Great Park. The village centre has a relaxed but exclusive feel, as reflected by the independent boutiques and eateries dotted around. Its property market features grand period homes, gated estates, and stylish new builds, making it one of the UK’s most desirable commuter spots.
Farnborough
Farnborough is a well-connected town situated in Hampshire and offering excellent commuter links, good schools and colleges, and a growing array of shops and leisure facilities. The area – commonly known as the UK’s birthplace of aviation – offers a wide range of housing, from period homes to modern developments, which explains its strong appeal to families, young professionals, and retirees alike.
Blackwater
This is a small town on the Hampshire–Surrey border, located nearby to The Meadows. Residentially, it offers a mix of modern housing developments and traditional properties, making it popular with families, professionals, and commuters. The area benefits from good local amenities, schools, and green spaces, while being close to larger towns like Camberley and Farnborough.
